Biography
François d'Izarny is a French painter, born in Paris in 1952. In 1970, he joined the Fine Arts school of Dijon but didn't stay there for long. Through finesse and powerful work, an exhibition was devoted to him only a year later. 1972 onward, he became famous for his sketches of Dijon, he moved to Portugal but came back to France in 1975.
François d'Izarny's work is extremely creative due to its rich colors and technical expertise. He plays around with collages and material transparency. The atmosphere that Izarny creates in his paintings leads us to a world filled with emotions. His works portray sensitivity, sincerity and elegance.
He has exhibited in Estoril, Cascais, Lisbon, Malaga and Tokyo. When he came back to France in 1975, he took part in several fairs in Paris including Galerie Laurens. Following this, he exhibited in Los Angeles, Washington, New York, Abudhabi, Madrid, Abidjan and Tahiti.
