Biography
Shahi Dayekh is a Lebanese contemporary expressionist, residing in Dubai, who works with oil paint as well as mixed-media mediums. Upon discovering her artistic orientation and potential over a decade ago, Shahi began exploring art through a culturally affluent lens which she had acquired throughout her life. Shahi's work encompasses her inspirations and often represents the universal experiences, emotions, and struggles that unifies all people in all walks of life. It also holds great aesthetic appreciation for the beauty of the natural world; cosmology, the collective unconscious, mythology and metaphysics. In her process, she seeks to reflect her own life story in a way that allows her pieces to act as a portal to the individual stories of the viewers themselves. Shahi's works are currently exhibited in many corners of the world including the Collectibles Gallery Istanbul, Movenpick Hotel in Beirut, Rossocinabro Gallery Rome and she has exhibited in several art fairs including London Contemporary Art Fair, Bodrum Art Fair, Istanbul Art and Antique Fair, World Art Dubai, XIV Florence Biennale and Saatchi Art.
