Born in 1954, Daniel Bligny lives and works in Périgord Noir, in a small village on the banks of the Dordogne, Saint Julien de Lampon.
For several years, after initially working on driftwood, Daniel Bligny's sculpture now comes from the world of metals, and more precisely their recovery (landfills, scrap dealers, flea markets.)
Materials that have already been worked by man for centuries, for various functions, often from the agricultural world...
From this infinite repertoire of scattered forms, doomed to destruction, he will choose some for a work of diversion and assembly.
His vision and his training as a locksmith and blacksmith allow him to create a unity specific to any living organism (characters, animals, plants or abstract forms.) His strong compositions give us either a part of Mystery, Serenity, Vulnerability, Love or Humor...
