Biography
Lilly is a painter who lives and works in Aix-en-Provence. At the beginning, paintings was just a hobby for him. Years passing, his passion became more and more important, giving him more self-confidence and a feeling of fulfillment. Today, his paintings reflect all of his sensibility.
Inspired by the Pop-Art and influenced by his time in New-York, Lilly uses cardboard, on which he paints in spray, acrylic, ink, stencils, pastels… Using a recycled support reminds of the consumer society and defines the desire of giving more importance to this daily material.
He produces series of artist's portraits, he captures moment of cult films on metro tickets or on recored covers. His works release a lot of strengh and fragility at the same time.
