Presentation
Born in Brittany in 1970, Gaël Rouxeville is a transdisciplinary visual artist, who practices sculpture, drawing, painting, photography, poetry ... He first evolved in the industrial design and the wood craftsmanship, and has adopted an eco-friendly approach.
For more than 20 years, mainly through his sculptures in wood and bronze, he has been relentlessly exploring the expressive possibilities of the living curve.
Gaël Rouxeville deals with familiar themes such as animals, dance and the energy of movement, seeming to bring matter to life. Trying to keep the strength of a sketch, he simplifies the forms to condense their poetic expressiveness. This paradoxically refined work gives birth to a world between dream and reality, at the frontiers of abstraction .
As if you were reading a Zen poem, his work offers an interior meditative experience, soothing and timeless, and ultimately reveals a universal message of incredible depth.
