Jan Delunay
Biography
Distinguished as a teenager by the first prize "Young Art Inter painting in Dijon" (1999), Jan Delunay has always been fascinated by Monet's Water Lilies, whose ethereal and timeless atmosphere he seeks to reproduce in his works.
His paintings, mostly large formats (200x150cm and 195x130cm), are distinguished by their soft and soothing tones and the great fluidity of the pictorial material. Water is omnipresent there, in a white or slightly bluish color. A work that invites contemplation and which perfectly reflects the discreet and sensitive nature of this artist passionate about travel.
Jan Delunay performs sparingly, always wishing to show the best of his works. From December 9 to 30, 2022, these will be present at the Galerie de l'Institut Français des Arts in Brussels, as part of the exhibition "Les Nymphéas, homage à Monet". This will be the artist's first solo exhibition in Belgium.
