Nam June Paik is a South-Korea artist born in Seoul in 1932. He died in Miami in 2006.
He used different media in his practice and is considered to be the first artist to make video art. He was awarded the Fukuoka Asian Culture Prize in 1995 and the Kyoto Prize in Arts and Philosophy in 1998.
