Presentation

A Polish artist, born in 1982.

She attended lessons at artist studios, initially oriented towards stage design then illustration. Following this, Paulina Maksjan later participated in artistic projects as costume and prop designer for theaters and opera.

Paulina Maksjan paints portraits of gentle women and one can sense their character. Nature sometimes supplants over faces, hair transform into flowers or foliage. Her characters are colored in fauna and flora. These women sometimes emanate melancholy or defeat. We want to support this look and therefore are bewitched.

In 2007, she was selected to represent Poland during the Biennial of young artists of Europe and Mediterranean countries in Bari, Italy. This year was a succession of victories for her as she was awarded at the student competition "Fama" in Gdynia.
