Florentine Peeters was born in 1962 in Flanders into a large family. She was invited by her parents to find her own voice, her mission, her joie de vivre. She then begins to create: skirts, small sculptures, drawings, natural compositions… Thus Florentine has become a woman with multiple creative talents. Her paintings are stories that celebrate Light and unveil Magic, but above all, they are infused with soul. The soul of nature. This magic happens when colors begin to dance and play on the canvas, when they explode and become fireworks. By working like this, she creates this particular universe, which translates into paintings like a sweet prayer, like a conjuration against the harshness of existence. In collaboration with fairies, elves and dragons, which play a main role in all her work, Florentine invites voyeurs to recognize this magical, forgotten, sometimes forbidden world.
By moving from Flanders to Moëlan-sur-Mer in Brittany, where the light is so bright and the beings of nature so alive, it is for her a return to her sources.
