Biography
Born in 1983, Philippe Echaroux has been practicing for eight years street art in France but also aboard in towns and in the countryside.
Completely innovative, the artist proposes a new way of exercising street art: he never degrades or damages. By practicing 2.0. Street Art, his will to exhibit to the largest number led him to create ephemeral works, hanging his photographs on the walls of the towns.
By taking this logic to the extreme, he led a new project "Painting with Light". It’s about projecting his photographs on the walls of buildings. His luminous projections have been exhibited in Barcelona, Marseille, Paris, Cannes during the Festival, or in the Havane during the International Contemporary Art Biennial, in Val d'Isère and Cran Montana on the snowy mountains.
Philippe Echaroux selects with accuracy and method the time and place of the projection: the wall of a monument, a bridge, a facade, a tree or even ruins.
The work of art only last for a few tens of minutes but the artist captures it thanks to his camera. His pictures are then worked on wood or printed in silver, allowing the artist to exhibit them in many galleries.
In 2016, the artist is starting a new challenge and would like to project his photographs on trees of the Amazon forest, in collaboration with the Swiss association Aquaverde.
