This artwork presents a scene imbued with a tranquil yet poignant ambiance, capturing elements of everyday life through a distinct painterly lens. A muted pastel palette dominates the composition, lending a serene and somewhat nostalgic quality to the piece. The main focus is on a lone figure standing by the wall on the right side, casting a long shadow that enhances the sense of depth and dimension. The use of light and shadow is meticulously rendered, highlighting the artist's skill in depicting natural light.
At first glance, the simplicity of the scene stands out; an ordinary street setting featuring a few industrial buildings and a parked vehicle in the background. However, the unique arrangement of elements within the frame speaks volumes about the narrative potential of the piece. The buildings on the right have large windows that, albeit simple, draw the viewer's eye upwards, suggesting an openness and connection to the wider world. The green foliage near one of the upper windows adds a touch of life and color to the otherwise subdued color scheme.
Another figure can be seen walking into the background, creating a sense of depth and movement within the composition. This figure, though small, plays a crucial role in enhancing the narrative scope, inviting viewers to ponder the relationships and interactions within this seemingly quiet street.
The careful attention to detail, from the potted plants lining the sidewalk to the texture of the walls and the subtle gradients of light on the pavement, reflects a deep engagement with the everyday beauty of urban environments. The artist's precise control over perspective and scale contributes to the overall harmony and balance of the scene.
Overall, this artwork stands out for its ability to evoke a sense of calm and contemplation, transforming an ordinary street scene into a compelling visual narrative through masterful use of color, light, and composition.

Presentation
Luigi Iona was born in 1990 in Aprilia (LT) and from twelve years he lived in Florence.
"I have always drawn since I was a child.
Around the age of eighteen, I began to approach painting (tempera, acrylic, oil).
After middle school I attended the Art Institute of Pomezia for five years, Advertising Graphics section. After finishing high school I decided to enroll at the Academy of Fine Arts in Rome.
After about a year and a half, however, I decided to stop.
The reason that pushed me was the need to "detach myself" from the environment in which I was born and raised, eager to start again in a place that was unfamiliar to me.
I chose Florence because I have always been fascinated by its entire history of art.
In Florence, I did not continue my studies at the Academy, because I considered my drawing/painting skills well enough to be carried on by myself.
From that moment on I have never stopped making paintings, each time seeking more clarity and stability in the form/sign/color, in search of my poetics.
My style cannot exactly be attributed to an artistic movement, but certainly, my most relevant influences are expressionism, abstract expressionism, and contemporary figurative art.
At the moment I am rather focused on the everyday, trying to pictorially convey what we see and perceive every day in the form of internal poetry.
I try to make visible the intensity and harmony that lies in common everyday things and situations, for each of us.
Many times we take for granted a corner of the house, or a tree in the middle of the street, or a well-defined shadow on a wall that we see every day.
But even the smile of someone in our life can go unnoticed.
Here, my paintings are made to remember the beauty of things/people in everyday life, avoiding archiving what we practically have before our eyes every day.
By avoiding avoiding life."
