Back Lighting, Blue Yellow, Diptych 1984.
The artist finds inspiration Where nostalgia and the fascination of dreams transport her, beyond the reality of beauty and fashion.
This artwork presents a mesmerizing dual-panel composition, juxtaposing the silhouette of a mysterious, coiffed figure against contrasting backdrops. On the left, the dark figure is set against a radiant blue circular burst, exuding a cool, ethereal aura. The spiky edges of the burst enhance the dynamism of the image, adding a sense of energy and movement. On the right, the same silhouette contrasts starkly with a vibrant yellow background, transforming the atmosphere into one of warmth and vibrancy. The interplay of light and shadow in both panels highlights the texture and detail in the figure’s hair and delicate fingers, creating a striking visual narrative. This art piece masterfully utilizes color theory to evoke distinct emotions, providing a captivating exploration of duality and contrast. Its bold use of silhouette invites viewers to engage deeply with its enigmatic and thought-provoking presentation.
