

Biography
Augustin Frison-Roche, born in 1987, lives and works in the Lot-et-Garonne. He started drawing at the age of 15 (evening classes at the Beaux-Arts de Bourges and then private drawing academy). After literary studies (hypokhâgne, khâgne, history degree in Bordeaux), he trained in painting for 3 years (workshop F. Peltier). In 2012, he began sculpting, for which he favours direct cutting in stone, marble and granite. Since 2010, he has held several solo exhibitions in Saint-Émilion, Paris and Bordeaux, as well as commissions for schools and places of worship. In 2020, he will create a series of paintings, including a monumental altarpiece, for the cathedral of Saint-Malo. A monograph of his work is published by Klincksieck (Augustin Frison-Roche, Peinture, 2019-2022).
