Biography
Bill Henson is an Australian photographer and visual artist, born in 1955. Celebrated as one of Australia's most renowned artists, Henson studied photography at the Prahahn College of Advanced Education, although he did not complete his studies.
Characterized by its exploration of juxtapositions, Henson's photographs explore themes of nature and society. His works have been exhibited extensively across Australia and internationally. They can be found in the permanent collections of several established institutions, including the Tokyo Metropolitan Art Museum; the Guggenheim Museum; the Victoria and Albert Museum and the National Gallery of Australia.
