Traditional Chinese watercolors are made only on Chinese paper (there are several types of paper to have different effects), using Chinese brushes (there are also several types of brushes, sheep hair, wolf hair, and mix the two). Artist Xiu uses "Western" mediums like acrylic, canvas and brushes to interpret Chinese landscapes in a traditional Chinese watercolor manner. We find the “Zen” environment in his works.
