The plastic cabinetmaker Pierre Digonnet opens the doors to his artistic world in Paris, through an exhibition entirely dedicated to him.
This project will retrace his journey at the crossroads of geometry, chromatic experimentation and decorative arts. Between heaven and earth, woodwork is then set up with the greatest care and is organized to offer the public works that are almost incantatory. The FRAGMENT reasons like an internal echo in Pierre Digonnet. This guides his explorations at all scales.
In this movement, the artist created suspensions, Ovoliths, Quinconces, Totems to be discovered from January 8 to February 7, 2021 at 54DUNKERQUE. Pierre Digonnet was born in Paris in 1984. He was a child of design: after ten years of artistic direction, he trained in cabinetmaking with Compagnons du Devoir. For almost a year, he has lived in Amiens with his ceramicist wife in a house-workshop. Pieces of furniture, suspensions, sculptures and risographies will invite each visitor to become one of the cogs of this kinetic whole.
