Artist Statement:
If I should describe myself as artist, I'm probably an abstract painter and sculpturist. And yet, my works cover vast areas of expression and started with drawings and photography. Reality, as seen with my eyes and the lenses of my cameras was for years my central subject for artistic expression, but, as so many other photographers, my photos were always, and still are, trying to show something beyond the figurative. Behind the reality, as seen, lies a whole world of abstract, surrealist, occult visions which are there to explore, feel and maybe even show, see and understand. My artistic works cover the continuum of stages from the figurative to the abstract and minimalist.
My works belong to collectors, in France, England, Spain, US, Canada, Mexico, Turkey and Qatar.
Education:
Autodidact when it comes to art, but most of my works in the field of photography, collage, painting, drawing and sculptures as well as my digital works are heavily inspired by my formal education, mylong professional cross-cultural experiences and my work in international organisation. I'm trained as an economist and social scientist (PhD).
Awards & Distinctions:
In the artistic field: None !
Exhibitions:
I'm a truly contemporary artist who exclusively exposes and sells my works in web based galleries such as here on Zatista.
My works belong to collectors, in France, England, Spain, the US, Canada, Mexico, Turkey and Qatar.
Professional/Teaching Experience:
I have a long professional and teaching experience, but none in the artistic field.
Artistic Influences:
A listing of artists who have influenced and especially inspired me would be too long, but a listing of modern and contemporary art movements and schools, might be relevant: lyric expressionism, abstract expressionism, German Bauhaus, Constructivism, Minimalism, Conceptual art, Surrealism and abstract art in general - and not to mention Japanese, Chinese and Indian modern art.
