Biography
Jules Cier was born on July 11, 1995 in Bayonne, France.
Self-taught in terms of expression, the artist moved from one universe to another, starting his career as a carpenter, he then studied design and architecture in Paris. Always guided by his passion for art, his atypical career allows him to create unique works, from the medium to the framing, Jules Cier masters all the stages of his creations.
Originally from the Landes, the artist grew up in the middle of a great diversity of landscapes, the forest, the ocean and the mountains are for him inexhaustible sources of inspiration.
"Through the reinterpreted colors which do not conform to reality I represent emotions, a kind of amazement for the color of these multicolored landscapes. I express a certain ambivalence, a way of exploring what I am through what I am See. Like the painters of Fauvism who will make color a tool of inner necessity, a sentimental choice. My landscapes are freed from reality where color exists for what it is and what it expresses".
