Since the 19th century, artists like Théodore Rousseau or the famous novelist George Sand have defended the forest of Fontainebleau against the massacres of the trees... Today's walkers and sportsmen, the political authorities, the economic beneficiaries who benefit from the charms of this exceptional forest have they retained this awareness of the protection of this remarkable nature reserve? The trees speak! I have lived very close to the forest for 10 years, a close exchange of energy exists between the forest of Fontainebleau and me. I listen to the voice of the trees, they call us, they transmit their messages to us, they communicate their emotions to us. This exciting source of inspiration pushed me to transmit them in my works. In this exhibition I wish to raise awareness of ecology by titling the exhibition “the call of the forest” evoking Jack London. Paying homage to the beauty of the forest is also a way of warning of the dangers that threaten this natural heritage.
