"My research in art has always followed paths that traverse the impermanence and volatility of forms. Focused on drawing and painting and, more recently, on photography, I am still looking for ways to record this process, both from a formal and conceptual point of view. Something I called "Volatilisms". In 2020, I found some Block Printing stamps, an ancient oriental technique used to compose patterns of decorative prints on fabrics. Since then, I have been working with them to try to achieve the opposite on paper and canvas: unique, volatile images, without patterns, which no longer mirror the matrix, in a kind of approximation with drawing and painting. With them, I also seek to build a visual metaphor about the countless matrices that imprison us and that need to be deconstructed and transformed. Part of this series on paper was exhibited at the Unmatrix Exhibition, in September 2021, at Smith Galeria"
