RLD / 50 years of workshop
2023 is an opportunity to retrace the unique journey of Robert and Lydie Dutrou, passionate artisans printers-publishers of art, founders of the Métairie Bruyère Graphic Art Center. Around a set of preparatory works, projects in progress, works chosen from the collections of prints and rare books of the RLD workshop, the Métairie team offers you an overview of the history of the publishing house created
by the couple in 1973.
From the friend of the beginnings Joan Miró who offers them their first engraved book to launch out to Alechinsky always faithful to the RLD printing house, Tàpies with whom they will produce the work "Anular" awarded by the Moma of New York, passing by Pedersen, Adami, Chillida, Seguí, Arman..., an abundant production comes out of the engraving presses.
Despite the disappearance of Robert in 1999, and with the support of the artists, the family continues the adventure; Richard Texier, Di Rosa, Speedy Graphito, Jacques Villeglé... join the RLD catalogue. Today, Mathias Augustyniak from M/M Paris, Pierre Charpin, Nathalie Du Pasquier, Nicolas de Crécy, Ludovic Debeurme, Jordane Saget frequent the premises.
An eclectic but nevertheless relevant production that marks the scene of contemporary art, design, illustration or street art.
