Iconos americanos
Desde mediados del siglo XX, Estados Unidos se ha convertido en el líder del mercado del arte. La concesión del León de Oro al estadounidense Rauschenberg en la Bienal de Venecia de 1964 atestigua el paso del prestigio de la escuela de París a la de Nueva York.
