Country Home Interior
Close your eyes for a few seconds and imagine yourself in the country. Think of bird songs, flower filled meadows and golden wheat fields, a gentle stream of sparkling water and the wind that softly shakes the leaves. Who doesn't love a bit of fresh air? And wouldn't a house in the country be great? But what about a country house filled with artworks that help you completely relaxed? Isn't that just the dream?
But what if you don't have a country house? Not to worry, you can easily recreate the same sense of calm in the city. You'll just have to pick out the right furniture and decor and of course the artworks that can will make you feel like you're in the middle of the countryside.
The country house interior style is all about charm and balance. In order to create the tranquility of country life even in a home miles away from any fields, you have to focus on mixing textures like soft cotton with coarser textiles (such as burlap, rattan, etc.), choosing cosy light and soothing colours.
For soft furnishings and carpets use light colours for example shades of beige and grey and then add a few brighter touches with soothing tones like light blues or greens. An important component of any country style interior design is of course natural wood! Think of picking out a wooden table or a rustic style bench. For household linen and curtains, linen can be a great choice as it's a fabric that combines comfort and elegance with a rustic edge. Once all your key pieces are in place, you can focus on the essential details. Add the lighting and little knick-knacks and delightfully charming accessories like beautifully patinated candlesticks.
