Biography
Born in 1980 in the Paris region, Takala studied literature. In 2006, she found her vocation and became a History and Geography teacher in a small rural secondary school at Lot-et-Garonne.
Her father and brother were graphic designers, her mother was a ceramic artist, thus she grew up in a creative environment, which nourished and fertilized her imagination since her childhood. At 16, Takala did her first internship in the labs of Pictorial Services in Montparnasse where she improved her baryte snapshots. At 18, her encounter with Guy Mandery, professor at ENS Louis Lumiere took a major turning point: she gave up her project to become a professional photographer and joined the literature preparatory classes as he advised her to: "You can't learn photography at school but with your camera close to you", he said. She took it as a rule of life.
In 2005, she achieved her teaching diploma and her parents bought her a digital camera, putting her old Canon on the back burner. One year later, she had her first exhibition. It was the beginning of a true passion, which grew up in the shadow of her teenage years and strengthened in the light of her womanhood.
