Corey Kilmartin alias "Chaos x Color" is an emerging artist born in 1980 and focused on street-art and neo-expressionism. After graduating from the Toronto School of Design in Canada, he worked as a graphic designer, then as a creative director. Eventually, the fashion industry opened its doors to him, and he worked there for the past 10 years in New York. Working as a fashion designer and brand owner has helped shape her style and vision of fashion. His many trips around the world helped him shape this culture. It wasn't until the recent COVID pandemic and lockdown that Corey Kilmartin finally returned to painting. Once the work started, the creations followed and "Chaos x Color" was born. The concept of Corey Kilmartin's work is the exploration of evolution, and/or “de-evolution”. Specifically, everything about humans and their opposition to artificial intelligence (AI). It explores the juxtaposition of the religion of faith versus the religion of the mind. More specifically how the AI interprets this. His paintings present these new "beings" in their evolution and how they build our society. His work explores all kinds of surfaces, from paper to canvas, drywall and DIY canvas. Corey Kilmartin believes art is expression and cannot be limited to medium or application. Just as society wants to limit itself to rules and invisible walls, Art must be open and very expressive. His expression precisely, is characterized by vibrant colors, heavy and massive textures, he emphasizes the eyes as openings to reveal the soul. The mediums used by Corey Kilmartin are aerosols, acrylics, oil sticks, pastels and graphite. He makes his own painting tools, most of the time using recycled materials. For him, creation starts with the material, even before looking at its support. “I need to create all my tools, my creation process starts here. I then draw inspiration from music to free my mind. My 3 children and my wife are also a great source of motivation. » Corey Kilmartin
