From October 18 to 31, we welcome the paintings and collages of Mr. Christophe Vilar. The Séraphine Gallery invites you to discover recent (2021 and 2022) and older works by the artist. Come explore an enigmatic world populated by imaginary and intriguing characters. Balancing between figuration and abstraction, the artist takes us on a nocturnal stroll to discover rocky landscapes in the moonlight. His recent paintings demonstrate a marked penchant for blues and ochres. We sometimes recognize the discreet influence of Max Ernst, notably through the concept of chance, the associations of unexpected elements, as well as the aesthetics of collage. The works of Christophe Vilar question as much as they fascinate. Opening reception on October 18 from 6:30 p.m., 9 Place René Estoup, 48000 Mende. Open Tuesday to Sunday | 11:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m.
