Biography
Between figuration and abstraction, personal and universal themes centered on the loneliness of the individual despite a multimediatisation which opens up to the world but not to the other, the painter makes no choice. It oscillates. It is the constancy of the color work that cements his work. True explosions, the colors become sensual bombs, an empire of the senses. Warm tones that take on their full scope in their flat tints and catch the eye of the viewer forced to dive in to share the universe that is held out to them.
This is the successful bet of the artist, a true tightrope walker of a unique and seductive pictorial representation.
Stéfan Vivier prolongs in painting the visual acuity exercised by years of shooting. Using unconstrained figuration, he recounts his life and the world as he perceives it. Humor and the second degree allow him to create canvases where the naivety of the drawing and the use of bright or acid colors contrast with the seriousness of the subject.
