Photographie Fantastique
La photographie est souvent associée au réel et au vraisemblable. Cependant, il existe tout un genre photographique qui s'éloigne de cette idée et qui explore plutôt les thèmes du surnaturel, des mythes et des légendes: la photographie fantastique. Que vous voyez un fan d'univers Tolkienesques, ou que vous souhaitiez simplement vous aventurer dans un nouveau genre visuel, vous serez sûrement envoûtés par les œuvres de cette sélection. Paysages mystiques, jeux d'ombres et de lumière, couleurs ensorcelantes… découvrez ces clichés qui frisent la limite avec l'irréel.
Le fantastique est un thème qui fut très vite adopté par le cinéma et la littérature, mais il eu un succès tardif dans la photographie qui est un médium davantage apprécié au contraire pour ses capacités documentaires et réalistes. A l'encontre du désir propre des photographes à saisir « l'instant décisif » vers les années 1960 les photographes commencent à apprécier l'imaginaire, l'irréel, la féérie, le merveilleux et l'invisible. Le fantastique séduit aussi bien par un aspect monstrueux et cruel que féerique et naïf. Des artistes se sont complètement spécialisés dans ce genre tel que Jérôme Bosch, Cindy Sherman, Pierre et Gilles, Sarah Moon, Grégory Crewdson, Deborah Hally, Jeff Bark, Desirée Dolton, Erwin Olaf, Bronek Kozka et Vivien Racault.
