Caroline Sehi Hourquet is a French conceptual artist who notably uses photography. Between 1996-2003, she produced two kinds of works: narrative paintings, canvases on which explores all forms of creation to highlight memories in reference to her childhood and her travels in the South Pacific (New Caledonia, Guam and New Zealand). In 2003, in New Zealand, she made experimental videos on the ephemeral, vernacular images that surround us, of sensations, of people we meet, and that we will certainly never see again. New Zealand nature fascinates her, back in France, she opens a space and exhibits her work on the island of Bendor. She is also dedicated to the creation of paintings made up of photographs, torn pages in books that she collects, reframes and colors. The common thread between all these collected images remains emotion. Acrylic, drawing, the use of two colors are privileged forms of expression.
