I guess I'm the funniest and wittiest occasion out of all the categories. The occasion walks among us images like an elf and is something only in relation to what it causes. Paolo Ambrosio has an artistic training that leaves room for a deep connection with drawing. He is a complete artist due to the extreme diversity of his practice, in painting, in glassfusion, in the publication of essays, in sculpture. In painting, after the signature he often wrote "me fecit" giving the image subjectivity. His essay "L'Io dell'Immagine" (Albatros editore Rome, 2019) is based on this particularity. After years of preparation he has oriented himself towards a painting with a fundamental gestural attitude and has developed his own modality which takes advantage of the immediacy of the gesture-sign expressed in automatic drawings. A dialogue with echoes and references of a reflection between past and present. -Ambrosio found himself in symbiosis with Roland Barthes' mine of ideas and ideas in (Carte-Segni, Roland Barthes, 1981, Electa). In fact, since 1970 Ambrosio's research has adopted the trial and error system which, after severe and controlled tests, where the thought can be accepted or not, leads to the realization of something inevitable. In IMAGE-ART The gesture-sign theorized by Roland Barthes is highlighted in Ambrosio's individual intuitions. In the "OVVIO E OTTUSO” by Roland Barthes, 2001, Piccola biblioteca Einaudi, we are directed towards the idea of the GESTURE and its process that leads to the composition of the work. The lines overlap in an infinite operation. IMAGE-ART is an artistic practice that has been using the eye's ability to manage GESTURE since the 1970s. Ambrosio shows the GESTURE on the traces of the movement of the hand where an expressive form emerges, a SIGN that gives freedom to the GESTURE. In practice, the Gesture ignites resources and makes it possible to transpose all the hopes of our desire. In essence, Ambrosio Paolo in IMAGE-ART does not reveal a school he belongs to but his own dimension of research since 1965. When he is faced with a canvas or a work to create and execute there is no Master to help him. Ambrosio is alone with his sense of responsibility. Customers relate to his human dimension. Ambrosio does it himself and has the courage to say it. He doesn't think he can guarantee anything more by saying he's from a school. He is independent knowing all the schools, trends and culture of art. His works are all original and personal. We know that those who really gain are those who perceive individuality before the masses. Those who, without a speculative approach, swim against the current like salmon, find opportunities here. Free from the speculative limits of the market. Art not to reflect all the vicissitudes, variations, endless repetitions of history as in a large mirror, but to create its own history. Paintings to climb inside for a lucid and strange journey through the labyrinths DESTOCKAGE
