I like the abstract side of aerial photography and the questioning it brings. At first glance (and even at the tenth), the viewer doesn't really know what he's looking at. It's difficult to decipher a landscape in the middle of these strange lines and surreal (but true) colors. As you get closer, you sometimes notice small details – a power line, a house – that give you an idea of what you're looking at. But too often there is nothing to hold on to: the images remain mysterious, defying conventions and expectations of what a landscape should look like.
