Patrick Cros

Self-taught painter born in Brussels, Belgium.

Traveling in Europe with my parents, since my childhood, I have always been contemplative of the antique painting, of the colored walls and patinated by erosion and even more by those of the houses of Tuscany.

After several years of research without results and in the momentum of a new chapter in my life, it was during the first confinement and the discovery of a few blank canvases that my memories came back to me!

Then comes a real immersion in texture and color, mainly through the discovery of oil painting with a knife.

The encouragement of admiring friends and buyers and a few collective exhibitions made of beautiful encounters gave me total freedom to express myself.

Without mixtures, no expression!

Without movements, no vitality!

All the expression of abstraction lies in a subtle, moving mixture of shapes and colors.
