Laure Julien, currently devotes her artistic work to a celebration of the rose, a theme which, from the Roman de la Rose to that of the Little Prince, is renewed from age to age. It is therefore under such sponsorship that Laure gives us to see her pictorial compositions on the different supports on which prints, draws or projects her dreams of roses that she interprets in various modes of expression, painting, pencil, graphite and singular elements. In a similar design, we find leaves, corollas, scattered petals, exploded and glued on the canvas or a simple drawing, embellished with a touch of color in which sometimes come to interfere unicorns escaped from a medieval bestiary. A few large canvases see the blooming of high-stemmed red or blue roses which refer to Baudelaire's "strange flowers". Then a succession of abstract projections flourish between tachism and calligraphy from which stands out a cardboard panel adorned with a plated rose and a spoon. The artist presents his research to you, so don't hesitate to come and discover his rose garden at the Galerie Des Sens-Caen.
