This month of November, Galerie Séraphine presents “Body and Motion”: a solo exhibition dedicated to the visual artist Claire Bonnet-Masimbert.
The exhibition includes around thirty works created in ink on the theme of the body and its expressiveness.
Why an exhibition on the theme of body and movement? With the rise of digital technology in our environment, the Western vision of the body has radically changed. For a moment, we invite you to reconnect with the sensitive, moving and organic body.
Claire Bonnet-Masimbert is inspired by different movements of the body to create rhythmic compositions. In an instinctive pictorial gesture, she illustrates human figures as sinuous graphic elements. Vibrant colors are applied in quick, fluid and expressive strokes. The absence of complex details helps the viewer create their own narrative influenced by their own experience. The repetitions of floral and plant motifs act like a musical composition on a colored background.
From November 17, join the dance of these bodies charged with rhythm and embrace the movement.
