Biography
Benedetto Robazza was a great sculptor but also a talented portrait painter, demanded among the politicians, people in finance, the military, ecclesiastical and showbusiness world: he had the honour of being invited to portray American President Regan, whose bust is displayed in in the prestigious Roosevelt room in the White House.
He enjoyed portraying big stars of yesterday and today: Rudolf Valentino, Marilyn Monroe, Frank Sinatra and Alberto Sordi, represented in the clothes of an ancient Roman like the Emperor of Cinema. His hometown, Rome, welcomed one of the greatest works by Robazza, what we could define his masterpiece, Dante Alighieri's Inferno, a unique work in the world, dedicated to Dante's most famous Canticle, which the artist has reproduced in 18 panels of 90 square meters of resin marble. An incredible work of eighteen panels, each of which measures two meters high by two and a half wide, which presents the characters of Dante's Hell and the penis that tears them apart.
