Inspired by technology and new media. Letters were rearranged mostly with interest to view the space and textures as a graphic composition and were intended to show strong black symbols being followed by contemporary daily life communication. As a result, however, seemingly subconsciously express the secrecy of the codes. And this was not the primary intention of this work. Still, I created questions and perhaps ideas for the thought and mystery in connections by this process.
The texture and surface of this collage were created in many layers of acrylic, paper, gels, and wax media.

This artwork is a riveting amalgamation of bold text and abstract elements, demanding immediate attention with its striking contrast and dynamic composition. Dominated by an array of alphanumeric characters and symbols, the piece utilizes a stark black font set against a multifaceted background. The background is a complex tapestry of green and orange hues blended seamlessly, overlaid with white, ghost-like floral or star-like shapes that lend an ethereal quality to the backdrop. The textual elements, arranged in a precise grid format, create a sense of structured chaos, juxtaposing order with randomness. Each character and symbol within the grid appears meticulously placed, yet the overall impact suggests a code or message awaiting decryption, teasing the intellect. The use of various typographic forms, including letters, numbers, punctuation marks, and special characters, adds layers of meaning and intrigue, making the viewer ponder the intentionality behind each choice. The artwork's color palette, with its earthy greens and vibrant oranges, evokes a duality of calmness and energy, grounding the viewer while simultaneously invigorating the senses. The white shapes interspersed in the background add a contrasting softness to the piece, balancing the rigid black text with fluidity and motion. This piece showcases a unique blend of typography and abstract art, capturing the enigmatic essence of coded messages and the aesthetic appeal of modern design. It is a masterful example of how text and abstract visuals can coalesce to create a compelling and thought-provoking visual experience.

Presentation

Jarmila Kostliva focuses on a wide scale of subjects. Her paintings' biological elements in sequences reveal the inseparable relationship between the abstract and the intellectual. She draws inspiration from science, psychology, and history. Prints and photography in an abstract style are based on the images of nature, places of the past, and themes of nostalgia.

Born in Prague, Jarmila graduated from Fine and Applied Arts in the Czech Republic, later continuing with independent studies in Fine Arts at Concordia University in Montreal, Canada. Originally trained as a ballet dancer and performer, her work still imbues her artworks with personal insights, music, dramatic arts, dance, and cinema.

Her work has been shown in Canada, the USA, France, and the Czech Republic. She has received international awards in competitions, and her work has been featured on many art platforms.
