On three floors of our gallery, the gallery presents interesting young artists as well as established greats of Pop Art, Street Art, and Contemporary Art: You will find works by Alex Katz, Andy Warhol, Tom Wesselmann, Keith Haring, Roy Lichtenstein, Julian Opie, James Rosenquist, and Mel Ramos. In the category Street Art, we show works by Mr. Brainwash and XOOOOX, among others. Besides, we offer unique pieces by Pablo Picasso, Marc Chagall, Gerhard Richter, and Basquiat as well as sculptures by renowned artists and design objects by Maurizio Cattelan, Paul Smith, or Philippe Starck.
“The art market has changed dramatically in recent years: In the past, the art world was exclusive and intellectually compartmentalized. Today, art is omnipresent and has a firm place in our daily lives.”
Frank Fluegel
The purchase of art is a matter of trust – whether it is to supplement a long-standing collection, to place a work of art for aesthetic design, or to make a monetary investment.
The art market is constantly developing, especially the field of street art that has been growing rapidly for years. We have been successfully active in this sector since 2012 and, among other things, were the first gallery in Germany to show works by Mr. Brainwash.
For me, it is a great privilege to be so close to famous artists worldwide and to be allowed to select works for my clients and exhibitions in their studios. Here I benefit from the international contacts I have established with galleries and artists since 1999 – since the foundation of our gallery more than 20 years ago we have been able to successfully sell works of art to collectors in almost every country of the world.
FRANK FLUEGEL GALERIE, specializing in pop art and contemporary art has an additional branch in Kitzbuehel/Austria since 2018. The gallery is centrally located in Kitzbühel in a typical Tyrolean townhouse that can boast 480 years of history. The property, also known under the name Mantler Haus, is located at Josef-Pirchl-Str. 6. The gallery opened on Friday, February 16, 2018 with the exhibition "Mr. Brainwash meets Kitzbühel." Life is beautiful - this is the message of the currently most famous street artist next to Banksy, Thierry Guetta, who calls himself Mr. Brainwash and whose works have been conquering the art world around the globe for several years. The Los Angeles-based Frenchman and avid videographer became known worldwide through the award-winning documentary "Exit Through the Gift Shop," in which Mr. Brainwash accompanies his friend Banksy at work. This also got him into the street art scene and he started creating art. From then on, Mr. Brainwash was a phenomenon, a superstar who conquered the art world at record speed. His first two solo exhibitions in Los Angeles in 2008 and New York in 2010 attracted several thousand visitors and were completely sold out after a few days. In 2016, the artist had his first equally successful museum show in Seoul, Korea.
