This architectural art is an oil painting that depicts Rockefeller Chapel on Graduation Day at the University of Chicago. Im an architect, as well as an artist, so I really appreciate the Gothic architecture on the UChicago quads. The chapel is a large, gray, Gothic Revival building. The sun is shining brightly, and the building is bathed in light. The windows are filled with stained glass that reflects the blue sky. A large crowd of excited graduates is leaving the chapel. They are wearing their maroon caps and gowns, and they are smiling and laughing. The painting captures the excitement and joy of celebrating Graduation Day. The painting is done in a realistic style. The chapel is portrayed as a sculpture in stone, using light and shadow to create a sense of depth and perspective. The painting is a beautiful and moving tribute to the University of Chicago and its graduates. The painting is also a reminder of the importance of education and the pursuit of knowledge. The graduates in the painting are about to embark on new and exciting journeys, and they are well-equipped to face whatever challenges come their way. The painting is a celebration of the power of education to transform lives and make the world a better place. This art was recently displayed in a curated exhibit at the Evanston Art Center in Illinois. Shipped to the U.S. as is, hung on stretcher bars. For international sales: Shipped as a rolled canvas, wrapped around stretcher bars, to keep shipping costs low.

Presentation
The title of my recent solo exhibit, “A Love Affair With Colors," best describes my art. Small, quick dashes of high-key colors dance across the painting for subtle stimulation and movement. My art is recognizable to the viewer, yet abstracted from a literal representation. I paint when I feel an emotional connection to the subject of my art, and aim to convey that feeling. My subjects include figures and cityscapes, landscapes and abstract art. I have exhibited my art extensively in curated art shows on a national and international basis. Several of my paintings have won awards. I am a juried member of the Union Street Gallery Guild in Illinois, and am also a member of Artsia: The Society of International Artists.

Artistic Influences:
I am influenced by Matisse in my use of strong lines and contrasts. I also find inspiration from abstract realism. Many of my paintings combine representational art with an abstract approach.
