Goldorak Artworks
Goldorak, better known as Grendizer in the United States, was created by manga artist Go Nagai. He is the main character of a Japanese anime series from the 1970s. An adventure series about giant robots, the genre was also known as "mecha", which is a strain of manga.
Having been a great success, the series was declined in two more precise series: Great Mazinger and Goldorak. It became very popular in France, becoming a real generational phenomenon. Go Nagai's iron giants have left an undeniable mark on pop culture, and the melodramatic series has since taken on the form of nostalgia.
What better way to keep the memory of Goldorak alive than to immortalize it through art? Whether you're a die-hard fan of the series yourself, or know someone who is, Artsper's selection of Goldorak art will have something for you. Artists such as Ian Philip, Vincent Sabatier and Spaco, masters of pop culture inspired art, have been inspired by Goldorak in their own way. Discover them, as well as many other contemporary artists of the same inspiration, without further delay!
