Attention: David Dutreix comes out of his studio and takes you on a dive into the depths. From the American underground and the Amazonian jungle of the 1970s, to the Pigeonnier in Nice today, via the punk and alternative Paris of the 1990s: paintings, films, posters conjure up a colorful story. This exhibition, rare for the artist who feels better in the "under" rather than in the "over", takes us in turn to his different fields of expression: the New York street, the Parisian squats, the films made and finally the canvases of the last few years whose vocabulary has been enriched by all the land trodden, all the asphalts surveyed, all the encounters experienced in the middle of the artistic scenes that have marked street-art since its beginnings. Testimony of an era and singular breakthrough of a gaze that is both zen and rebellious, lucid and generous, this exhibition where opposites combine in the singular, outlines powerful and inspiring possible paths.
