The Atelier Piece Unique welcomes Agnès Cellérier for her first personal exhibition in its premises. The artist paints sensual and peaceful landscapes, between figuration and abstraction. Invitation to travel, they take us to the four corners of France. With large touches of paint, the artist creates a harmonious universe where nature reigns supreme. Huge plains, flowering trees, green hills reveal a mosaic of subtle colors. “I paint the colorful fields of Normandy, the hilly reliefs of the Tarn where I stay regularly. What guides me is the feeling of fullness that I experience when looking at the landscape. I choose to paint places that move me, that soothe me. I want to convey this sweetness, this serenity. The artist works in the old fashioned way, with oil and a knife. “I like the richness of this medium, its paste. I make my shades on the palette, this process is part of the fun of creating. »Agnès Cellérier paints on the motif, or in the studio from her own photographs, sometimes from memory. She does not seek the picturesque, the faithful description. She plays with reality, in a semi-abstract, semi-figurative vein. His palette is clear, rich in shades of greens, pinks, oranges placed in large flat areas on the canvas. “I broke away from the resemblance. I have fun, I simplify the shapes, I invent harmonies of colors to transcribe an atmosphere. I want to take the viewer to the heart of the canvas, share my emotions with him… ”
