Biography
Minh Châu was born in 1976 in Vietnam. The act of creation has always been central in the career of the artist-sculptor. As a teenager, her passion was first expressed through styling, with particular attention paid to textile materials.
She then naturally undertook training in this field, obtaining a diploma from the Martinière Terreaux school in Lyon, before working as a ready-to-wear designer.
Minh Châu wants to go further in creation and decides to set up on his own and collaborate with photographic artists, by making prototypes as part of their video performances and shootings.
The creation of clothes is no longer enough for him. This is how the desire to model bodies appears.
In the beginning, her sculptured bodies are tall and slender in a waiting position. Postures and faces with marked features, his sculptures are now evolving towards more relaxed postures.
They keep the mastery of the artist, of the postural harmony and the mystery of these vulnerable and grainy bodies.
