David Norocos

David Norocos is a visual artist born in the Ivory Coast. Since the age of 8 he devotes his free time to learning, practicing drawing and painting.

After brilliant studies at the Modern and Technical High School Mahou in Abidjan, he took the entrance exam to the Cultural Center of Applied Arts (CTAA) and followed a 3-year training in textile design.

On August 29, 2011, he graduated in textile design and in 2013 he passed the entrance exam to the National School of Fine Arts (ENBA) in Abidjan. He is noticed in painting and documentary study, he is then oriented in communication section.

In 2015, the Ivorian television made reports in his studio and is followed by the local and international press. In 2016, he exhibited in Russia, in Angers, in the domain of Constantinière in Soulaines / Aubance (49) in France.

In 2017, he exhibited at the Museum of Civilization of Côte d'Ivoire, 2018 Hotel Tiama Abidjan. In 2018, he exhibited at the airport of Abidjan (SITA), in Germany (Hamburg) and the biennial Dak'art Senegal.

In 2019, he exhibits in art galleries in Canada and Morocco. In 2020, he becomes assistant manager of the J.A.A in France, and exhibits at the Arbuste exhibition in PARIS.

In August 2020, he exhibits with the city hall of Belfort (90) (place aux arts) France. From September to October 2020, he exhibits at the town hall Hérimoncourt (25310) France. 2021 at the gallery Grosne France, Paris, Honfleur and the town hall of Offemont 90.

With a unique technique his works are situated between abstraction and semi-figuration he brings however a sensitive touch to his subjects of predilection.

He expresses himself through African symbols, talismans and numerology codes in a written or pictorial way in his works
