Elisabeth Delesalle was born in 1956 in Paimboeuf (44). His father, Michel Conil Lacoste is a Modern Art Critic and Writer. Since childhood, she has been immersed in an artistic and intellectual atmosphere that will be conducive to her vocation as an artist. Very early attracted by the aesthetics of the line, she continued her training in Graphic Art and was introduced to Engraving. In 1975, she graduated from the Beaux-Arts de Paris, with a specialization in Engraving. In 1979, she completed her aesthetic research at ESAG. From 1980, Elisabeth stayed as a resident at the Pierre Guastalla Foundation, National Foundation for Graphic and Plastic Arts, where for 6 years exhibitions were organized in which she participated. She also exhibits in France and abroad. Maintaining a closeness to writing, the various periods of his work are punctuated by reflections on his practice and often illustrated with poems. Sensitive to events and artistic manifestations, his work is enriched and his identity as an artist is revealed in the service of color and line. His search for harmony while geometric rigor unfolds in an aerial way in the space of the paper. The drawing appears as a window open to poetry in a harmonious rhythm, both free and orderly. Elisabeth Delesalle's work unfolds in several creative periods from 1971 to 2021. Her first drawings in 1971 present abstract motifs made in ink and rotring in which figurative elements arise, whose surfaces stand out thanks to in the color of the Indian ink used in flat areas. His work is characterized by the use of small elements that suggest an abstract writing framework. In echo, more or less dense or fluid colored planes respond.
