Tan Jian-Chung is originally from Taiwan. It was on his native island that he began painting at the Taipei University of Fine Arts, before coming to France to finish his training in Strasbourg. Through his work, which uses the traditional techniques of Chinese painting (inks, pigments, rice paper ...) he seeks to make perceptible the harmony that can unite man to nature. His works, which draw on the elements: water, sky, mountain and sea, seek to transcribe this meditative state of the "narrator" in front of nature and transmit his emotions to the viewer. His brush opens us to a spiritual universe in which we must take the time to enter.
