Blonde 91
Presents a series of drawings, canvases and tarpaulins, painted with spray paint, markers and inks.
Passionate about the railway world, he spends a lot of time in train depots, between rust and brambles, on the sidelines, "the life of the rails".
His style is compact and intertwined, naive, full of superimposed characters, animals and other elements that come straight out of his brain. Each work is the result of an intuitive process, without preliminary sketches, to leave room for error and surprise.
His obsession with filling the void on canvas or the metal of a train results in saturated, rich and complex works.
Blondin is inspired by the New York graffiti of the 70s and its precursors like Blade or Lee who painted the metro with large colorful frescoes. He also draws his inspiration from traditional American tattooing and its timeless references. Comics from the 80s like Kebra or Bloodi also feed his imagination.
Immerse yourself in his works and let yourself drown in his universe.
