Biography
Colette Levine was born in Paris and lives and works in Paris, where she has her studio.
After having studied with André Lhote (Montparnasse, 1954), then with Yves Hersent (La Grande Chaumière, 1956) and with Robert Lesbounit (Place des Vosges, 1960), she starts exploring the body and its light.
She also depicts landscapes and nature in a free and open style, colorful and without a clear limit between the abstract and the figurative; in her artworks, the color and the traits are set free to express themselves.
She brings a fresh style to the art of the portrait and that of the landscape, using charcoal, pastels or oil; she is a part of numerous exhibitions in France and abroad.
