Biography

Born in Paris on March 29, 1983, OPÉRA, whose real name is Stéphane Vignal is a French painter. In 1998, he started working in the world of traditional graffiti under the name of STARONE. He obtained a BTS in Visual Communication in Paris, 2005, he then worked and became known as a freelancer and finally opened his own agency, 2HS Design, in 2008.

He draws his inspiration from certain artists such as Vasarely, Lissitzky and Kandinsky. Constructivism, Retro-Futurism and the Bauhaus School nourish his pictorial work.

OPERA was passionate about painting complex letters called "wild style" which he did for nearly ten years. In parallel, he began a more artistic approach of mural design, closer to his job as a designer and his daily inspirations. He then chose to paint under the name of OPERA and in 2006 he focused his work on a more graphic and geometric approach.

His graphic world led him to work on various cultural and musical projects, Hocus Pocus, C2C, Stalwart Records, as well as with eclectic companies, Adidas, Engie, Eurosport, Canal +.
