Biography
Sandrine Ruedolf was born in Boulogne Billancourt in 1968. Drawing and painting quickly came into her life, but chance led her into a professional voice in the medical field. It was around 40 that she took up brushes again and trained with a graphic designer and illustrator for a few years.
The urban landscape in which she lives influences her work. She paints the streets and places of Paris that she particularly loves. Gradually his landscapes are transformed and the abstract is essential. The notion of verticality in his work holds an essential place. “In our urban world everything is vertical, horizontality no longer exists" Parisian buildings are just suggested by the vertical element.
Sandrine Ruedolf stages the colors. They follow one another, follow one another in a subtle gradient and give the work dynamism, rhythm like musical notes on a staff.
Each piece of cut paper is an image of material: wood, stone, concrete. In one of her paintings on the site, she evokes the sand, the sea and the sky. They are never neutral.
The artist in acrylic resumes the graphics and extends the colors to again evoke the idea of large vertical structures.
Sometimes words are mixed up to evoke an idea or a feeling.
