Edition of 3 unique prints in Into The Box format

The “Into The Box" art collection emerges as a poignant reflection on our ability to find creativity and inspiration even in the most constrained of times. As the art world navigates a period marked by uncertainty, this collection illustrates the perseverance and ingenuity of artists who transform isolation into a source of profound inspiration.

Conceived by visual artist Idan Wizen during the second confinement in France, “Into The Box" was born from a context where access to the outside world and the public was restricted. Deprived of the presence of his usual photographic subjects, Wizen turns to himself and his collaborators as models, exploring the intimate and universal dimensions of the human experience in times of crisis.

The box, the central element of this collection, symbolizes the confined space in which we have all been forced to find ourselves. Through this metaphor, the works explore a range of emotions intensely felt during lockdown – from frustration and anger to contemplation and apathy. Each piece captures the essence of forced introspection, revealing the complex and often contradictory emotions that coexist within us.

“Into The Box" also poses a provocative question: Is our feeling of confinement solely due to the Covid-19 pandemic, or is it amplified by the barriers we ourselves erect? In exploring this idea, the collection invites reflection on how our personal “comfort bubbles" can sometimes turn into prisons, limiting our emotional experience and our relationship with the outside world.

Through “Into The Box," Idan Wizen not only documents a historically difficult period; it offers a mirror in which we can all look at ourselves, questioning our own resilience and our ability to find light, even in the deepest darkness. This collection is an invitation to embrace all of our emotions and recognize the beauty and strength that emerges from vulnerability.

Idan Wizen

Idan Wizen, Franco-Israeli artist and photographer, has distinguished himself in the field of photography, notably through his emblematic project "Un Anonyme Nu Dans Le Salon". His work has been featured in renowned cities such as Paris, New York, Miami, and Osaka In 2013, his unique talent for capturing male nudity was recognized with the award for Best Male Nude Photography at the International PhotoShootAwards, beginning a string of over sixty accolades for his project.

Born on October 26, 1984 in Tel Aviv, Idan began his studies at the University of Paris II Panthéon-Assas in 2002, with an initial orientation towards economics and management. However, he soon discovered that his true interests lay in the fields of art, photography and advertising, inspiring him to direct his career towards these passions.

After reassessing his ambitions, Idan enrolled at Sup de Pub, where he obtained a Master's degree in Artistic Direction in 2007. Continuing this momentum, he also obtained a Master's degree from the University of the Arts London in 2008. Upon his return in Paris, after a brief foray as a marketing manager in the cosmetics sector, Idan founded Studio Idan, an agency specializing in print, web and photography.

In parallel with his agency, Idan launched into photography. Thus, on April 18, 2009, he created the project "Un Anonyme Nu Dans Le Salon", which quickly distinguished itself by the mastery of lighting, the intrinsic beauty of each shot and his ability to quickly establish trust with his models. The project has attracted more than 3,500 participants to date.

In 2023, Idan Wizen took a new step in his career by opening the Studio Idan Art Gallery, a space dedicated to the exhibition and sale of art prints. This venue offers a new platform to present his works, as well as those of other artists sharing his vision.

Presentation

Idan Wizen is a Franco-Israeli artist and photographer, founder of the project “Un Anonyme Nu Dans Le Salon". His photographs have been exhibited in Paris, New York, Miami, Osaka…

In 2013, he won the award for best male nude photo at the International PhotoShootAwards. Subsequently, the photographs of the project have received more than 60 awards.

Idan was born on October 26, 1984 in Tel Aviv. In 2002, he joined the University of Paris II Panthéon-Assas to begin studies in economics and management. But very quickly, the artist realizes that his favorite fields are art, photography and advertising.

He then joined Sup de Pub, from which he graduated with a Master's degree in artistic direction in 2007. In 2008, he also obtained his Master's degree at the “University of the arts of London".

Back in Paris, after a brief experience as a marketing manager in cosmetics, Idan Wizen founded a communication agency, Studio Idan, working on print, the web and photography.

Alongside this activity, Idan began to photograph, and so on April 18, 2009, the project “Un Anonyme Nu Dans Le Salon" was founded. His management of light, the unique rendering of photos, the ability to make anyone look beautiful, and the confidence of the models that he manages to gain very quickly, make more and more people come to pose for the project, which has more than 2400 participants to date.

In addition to the “Who is this naked in the living room?" project that he continues to develop, Idan Wizen devotes himself to advertising and fashion photography and other artistic projects, such as Hinders, Into The Box, The World We Left Them, etc.
